These Masterclasses center around the creation of small sculptural experiments and surface decorations.
The main focus is on exploring various techniques for preparing and manipulating paper porcelain, allowing you to express your creativity and bring your ideas to life. Our priority is to provide an environment conducive to uninterrupted learning and experimentation. My courses are designed to be demonstration-led and tailored to the specific needs of individual students to the greatest extent possible. They are ideally suited for those who are more confident in their artistic abilities (having a basic understanding of working with clay is advantageous) and professional artists. Throughout the course, guidance and assistance will be provided. Additionally, we place great importance on learning from one another's experiences.
To ensure personalized attention, the class size is limited to 8 participants, enabling one-on-one instruction when needed.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Breakfast, lunches & dinners are included in the course price except for Wednesday evening*.
Breakfast comprised local specialties such as baguettes, croissants, jams and a selection of charcuterie & cheeses, making for a varied spread.
We will enjoy healthy lunches & homemade dinners with seasonal & local ingredients.
Accommodation at Logis de Beaulieu
The manor Logis de Beaulieu is located on the northern slope of a small valley. Its fields, woods, meadows, the old Charentais farmhouse Saint Germain and three natural lakes form the "Domaine de Beaulieu". The building complex dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries and was completed around 1800 by a tax official of Napoleon. Take a vacation on a historic estate and discover this beautiful place - this literal "beau" "lieu".
! Bathrooms will be shared between max. 2 rooms !
5 cottages/gîtes
Petit Gîte “Beaulieu Petit” & Grand Gîte “Beaulieu Grand” are located in a side wing of the main courtyard.
“Petite Espagne” is situated in a wing of the main house.
La Maison is detached from the main house but still nearby.
The farmhouse “Saint Germain”* is secluded in the valley (* a 5-minute walk from the main house & pets welcome), surrounded by lakes, forests & meadows.
About Poullignac and its surroundings
Poullignac is a charming French village in the southern Charente, right at the border with the Dordogne and not far from the Gironde. It is situated in the middle of a triangle formed by Cognac, Bordeaux and Périgeux and therefore makes an excellent haven for wine and food lovers. The beautiful logis "Logis de Beaulieu" sits about 8km outside of Montmoreau, a village that boasts an XIIth century Roman church and an old castle as well as all modern facilities.
